Manifestation Scripting

“Attitude is the little thing that can make a huge impact in every single area in your life. When your attitude is right, you will thrive and flourish. The universe feels your attitude and you will manifest whatever your attitude reflects. So let your attitude be electric!”

Day 11/30

Yesterday, I wrote about my insecurities and fear for my future and received uplifting comments from my fellow bloggers. Of late, most of my posts have been about the negative aspects of my life and I understand it’s adverse impact on the readers as well. Writing them did relieve me from the mental stress that I was facing at that moment but I avoided reading my own posts as well. I wish to try my best now. I wish to change it. I have started researching (a little bit) about manifestation, affirmation, positivity, gratitude more so that I can use them to create the life I desire. In the coming days, I wish to read and increase my knowledge about all these topics and try them out in my life. I may not achieve any dramatic results overnight but I want to be consistent at it this time. The flip side to this situation is intense darkness and negativity and I’m done with it. I’m willing to take effort to improve my life as doing nothing doesn’t make me happy anyways.

The first topic in this series is Manifestation Scripting.

Manifestation Scripting is a technique wherein you write down in detail about the life you wish to create/manifest. I have tried this technique long back during my Chartered Accountancy Final examinations and I did end up clearing the exams. While I don’t know if I should attribute the success entirely to this process as preparing for the exams were mostly under my control, there are some things in my life that are totally out of my control right now. I wish to apply this technique and understand if it truly works.

What you’ll need? A journal and pen.

You can use any journal of your choice but to make it more fun and effective, choose a journal that’s bright and positive. It can have a great quote on it or you can design something that sparks the light in you whenever you look at it. The key to Manifestation is “BELIEF”. You need to believe that this journal is the key to the life of your dreams. Make it as interactive as possible.

How to do it?

Start the journal entry by “Gratitude“. Gratitude is the first step towards an abundant life. Be grateful for everything that is right (or wrong but has given you an enriching experience) in your life. You can write about anything under the sun. The key here is to truly feel grateful it when you write about it. If you are grateful for your current life, the Universe will give you more reasons to be grateful for.

Now start the scripting process. Write down your desires in the present tense as you have already achieved it.

For example, if I wish to manifest an Iphone, I will write down,

Thank you so much Universe for this amazing Iphone 12 pro Max. I’m truly grateful for it and it has brought a lot of joy in my life.

Be as specific as you can and make sure to truly imagine it’s presence in your life as you are scripting it.

And that’s it. According to what I’ve read about this, this is the simplest way to manifest the life of your dreams. It is advised to do this process twice a day, first thing in the morning and right before you sleep.

I’ll be starting this process from tomorrow and plan to do this for a month and share it’s results/my experience with you.

If any of you have already tried this, do share your experience in the comments.

“All it takes one song to bring back 1000 memories.”

-Anonymous

Day 9/30

While mindlessly scrolling through YouTube today, I stumbled upon an old song that I was addicted to as a kid. I played the song and it felt like I was transported back to my childhood days when I used to listen to that song on loop. Who needs a time machine to revisit your past when you have music? I relived every single memory I had of those times when I used to listen to this song, my thoughts, aspirations and dreams during those time and most importantly, my innocence. Before all the setbacks and failures, the roller coaster like ups and downs in life, I was a young kid beaming with POSITIVITY and HOPE for the future. I used to think and believe that I will achieve all my goals and get everything I ever dreamed of. After all, hope is all I had during those days.

I also experienced deep emotions. I used to smile, laugh and also cry a lot. Now I’ve turned into a zombie who rarely cries and can literally count on her fingers, the last time I experienced the feeling of exhilaration and excitement in life. Life was so different back then. I had envisioned my life in a much different manner as a kid. I’m grateful for all the opportunities and blessings in my life. But, I want to be hopeful again, in the same manner and passion as I was as a kid.

There were certain things that I thought I’ll experience for sure (especially after watching countless rom-coms) which still haven’t panned out in my life. There are many things that have happened in my life that I could never dream of, I’m extremely grateful to the Universe for bringing abundance in my life, in the form of food, financial stability and opportunities.

I am currently reading a book called “Flow” by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. If you’ve seen the Arabian Nights, you would know how Aladdin felt when Genie told him that he will grant him 3 wishes (anything that he could dream of). This is how I feel with this book in my hand. The tagline of Flow is “The classic work on how to achieve happiness“. That’s what I need, I want to be happy, in any circumstances. Even if I fumble or fall, I want to bounce back stronger.

In Csikszentmihalyi’s words, flow is “a state in which people are so involved in an activity that nothing else seems to matter; the experience is so enjoyable that people will continue to do it even at great cost, for the sheer sake of doing it” (1990)

Now imagine if you know how to be in flow, always. You’ll have a much better quality of life and be HAPPY effortlessly. That’s what I seek. I plan to read this book over the weekend so that I can reset my life and start afresh. I want to completely get rid of the feeling of being STUCK in life and I trust this book to get me out of this dilemma.

Let’s do this.

2 weeks to reality

“Each person deserves a day away, in which no problems are confronted, no solutions searched for. Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares which will not withdraw from us.”

-Maya Angelou

I came to know on Monday that I would have to resume normal office working days starting January 2021. 2020 has been an extraordinary year in all aspects but the biggest gift from this year for me has been the “long break” from my routine life. I was completely burned out due to various events in my life during the beginning of 2020. I desperately sought a long break. I remember having a conversation with my younger sister where I told her that my dire wish was to quit my job, take a year long break and travel the world. I knew at that time owing to my responsibilities at home, quitting my job was not an option. But Universe heard me out and gave me the gift of a lifetime, an “almost” year long break without having to quit my job.

For majority of this year, I have worked from home. We had a complete lockdown of 2.5 months here in India from March 25th to May 31st. I resumed office on 29th June and my office visits in July and August were sporadic, about once a week. The journey was extremely hectic, I spent close to 8 hrs in a bus travelling to and fro from office due to the insane roadways traffic. From September to November, I went to office twice a week which increased by 1 extra day in alternate weeks in the month of December. In all, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time off from the extremely rushed routine life that I had in the pre-covid times.

As my sweet fairy tale comes to an end, I am prepared to take the challenges of a daily hectic routine life once again, starting January 2021. It’s an extremely bittersweet feeling for me to bid adieu to 2020 which has given me much more happiness than I could ask for. I am very well aware that I am one of the few who considers 2020 as a blessing and I’m filled with gratitude towards the Universe for it. I will post a detailed “year in review” on 31st December and make it a tradition on my blog going ahead. Till then, I’ll go back to the blissful last 2 weeks of 2020 and make the most of it.

Gratitude for “Abundance”

“Gratitude is one of the strongest and most transformative states of being. It shifts your perspective from lack to abundance and allows you to focus on the good in your life, which in turn pulls more goodness into your reality.”

-Jen Sincero

If someone would have told me to count my blessings and be happy in the present 2 years back, I would have fumed at that person. Here I am in the middle of discussing my life’s problems, every single one of them felt life threatening back then and the reply I get is to “be grateful for what you have!”. This advice sounded simple and extremely useless to me.

Fast forward to the present moment, I am the one preaching the importance of having a deep sense of gratitude in our lives. How does being grateful help in transforming our life? When we shift the focus from our problems (lack) to our blessings (abundance), there is an instant change in our mindset to look at the brighter aspect of every situation. I agree, technically this doesn’t help us solve our problems, but does being anxious about it serve the purpose? It doesn’t, it aggravates the core issue and multiplies the severity by 100 or even more. Technically being scared, fearful, anxious, stressed also isn’t a big help. On the other hand, it makes the situation look much more dangerous than it already is.

Our mind is a powerful tool, maybe the most powerful element of human existence. The biggest battles in our life are fought in our mind in a much more grandiose manner than in the reality. It is extremely beneficial and useful to keep the mind in our favor so that it helps us when we need it the most. Dwelling on negativity hampers our growth and forces us to lead a life of mediocrity when we are capable of doing much more than we can ever imagine. Developing a grateful mindset requires consistent practice and constant effort. Once we develop a habit of practicing gratitude daily, our mind slowly learns to focus on the positive aspects of our life and every situation that we go through on a daily basis. Doing this consistently converts our mind into a magnet to attract abundance in our life. We are truly gifted with a lot of blessings in our life, being aware of them opens the doors to abundance and happiness.

Simple ways in which we can develop a gratitude practice

  • Morning routine : Write down 3 things that you are grateful for each day. This could be anything from the food you really enjoyed last night to the presence of your friends and family in your life. This would hardly take 5 minutes but is the best way to set the tone for each new day.
  • Night routine : Before the end of each day, write down 3 biggest highlights of the day, something that really made you happy, excited or simply made you feel better. This is an incredible way to focus on the present and live each day mindfully than just pass it by.

That’s it. It’s this simple. Since we have reached the last month of this extraordinary year, I’ve made a pledge to follow this routine daily to welcome the new year with an “abundance mindset“. I would love for you guys to also develop this practice and let me know if it helped make your life a little better, each day!

The real test

#56/100

“Be happy for no reason, like a child. If you are happy for a reason, you’re in trouble, because that reason can be taken from you.”

 Deepak Chopra

It is so easy to be happy when things are going well. The real test lies in our efforts to stay happy when things don’t take place as per our expectations. Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been really happy, for no particular reason to be honest. Listening to good songs, watching good shows, eating good food, I sought happiness from these daily basic activities and sort of created a routine out of it. Everything seemed great, I genuinely began to feel a childlike sense of happiness in a lot of things. I didn’t realize that I had created a routine for myself. Any change in this routine could bring me massive disappointment and sadness as I wasn’t anticipating it. That’s exactly what happened!

My mom injured her hand day before yesterday. It’s a fracture and her hand needs to be put under a cast for 6 weeks. Now this comes as a big jolt to my routine as I’m heavily dependent on my mother for everything. Now is the real test of my happiness. There’s a big change in my routine, the exact same routine that was a reason behind my happiness from the past few weeks.

Now is when I need to put extra efforts in being happy under any circumstances. It’s also extremely important to know our “why” (the purpose behind doing anything) before starting any new thing. This “why” makes us focused, dedicated and gritty enough to achieve our goals. My “why” is to be happy under any circumstances, especially during the bad ones. Difficult as it may sound, there’s always a way out.

The one where I hit a 100!!!

#43/100

This is an appreciation post! I’m absolutely over the moon since I hit a 100 followers on my blog. I’m filled with gratitude towards every single person who has followed me, liked my posts and taken precious time out from their life to comment on my posts. Your support means everything to me.

I created this blog in 2016 when I was going through a difficult phase in my life, however I hardly posted 10 times in the last 4 years. Writing was a way to let out my emotions and get clarity on my thoughts. I have always enjoyed reading blogs and they never fail to give me a sense of direction when I feel lost in life. I’ve come across so many amazing blog posts that were totally relatable to the situation I was going through and reading their experiences gave me strength and support. I always harbored a dream to write well and connect with people with my writing. I’m a juvenile in this field and have a long way to go. Yet every single milestone is extremely special to me as I feel like I’m on the right path.

This year, due to the current situation that we are in, I had a lot of time on my hand. This was the right time for me to improve my writing skills and learn a little more about myself in the process. This milestone is a great motivation for me to continue my efforts and work better.

A big thanks to everyone once again!

The damsel in charge

#36/100

I’m watching a lot of quality content these days. Entertainment is such a huge part of our lives. The entertainment industry is blooming because of the excessive demand for it from general public. People who star in certain amazing movies and shows are admired to the extent that they are worshiped at certain parts of the world. What is it about the entertainment industry and the imaginary world of movies and shows that draws our attention to it?

As a child I was a huge fan of fairy tales. I absolutely loved the story of “Cinderella”. And I waited for my Prince Charles every single day after that. After reading/watching many fairy tales, I was convinced that I’d end up meeting my knight in shining armor who’ll save me whenever I’m in trouble. For the longest time, I shrugged off taking responsibility of my life thinking that it will all get better once I meet my knight. I did my best at studies and work without envisioning any great goals for the future.

Most of the movies and shows that I’ve watched till date always showed a wonderful man saving the damsel in distress from any trouble and end up being her hero. Are girls that vulnerable to need a man to save them from every problematic situation? I have lived all my life subconsciously believing that I will end up meeting my knight in future who will change my life and make it better. Thus, I ended up not working on my life. I never believed that I had the ability to make it better myself.

It took a lot of hurtful experiences and unlearning to realize that change starts from within. The only person who has the ability to make my life better is my own self. If I don’t work on myself and develop the ability to find happiness in each and every situation in life, the greatest of knights wouldn’t be able to help me.

I’m thankful to have this realization early on in my life. I don’t live my life with an endless wait for someone to enter it and make it better. I am in control and work on making it a little better each day. It’s not that difficult really!
